GRANNY CAKE 
2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 (#2) can crushed pineapple

Mix together; pour into a greased 9x13 cake pan and sprinkle with 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup chopped nuts (or more). Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.

TOPPING:

1 c. Milnot or milk
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter; stir in sugar, then add milk and vanilla. Cook over low heat; pour over cake while hot. If you let it come to just a boil and pour over it immediately over the cake, it will soak in. If you boil about 10 minutes, it partially sets up as icing, and soaks into the cake too.
