JUDY'S CRISP APPLESAUCE COOKIES | |
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 tsp. cloves 1/2 tsp. allspice 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter 1 cup sugar 1 egg 1 cup unsweetened applesauce (I use Mott's No-Sugar-Added) 1/3 cup raisins 1 cup whole bran cereal (Kellogg's All-Bran) Preheat oven to 350°F. Sift flour, cinnamon, spices, salt and baking soda together and set aside. Mix butter, sugar and egg together until light and fluffy. Add flour mixture and applesauce alternately. Mix well after each addition. Fold in raisins and bran cereal. Drop by teaspoonful onto well greased cookie sheet 1-inch apart. Bake at 350°F until golden brown (about 15 minutes).
