SHEPHERD'S PIE - KITCHEN | |
2 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 med. onion, chopped 1/2 c. breadcrumbs 1/2 tbsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 2 c. creamed corn 2 lbs. instant mashed potatoes prepared with milk 3/4 tsp. paprika 1/8 c. Parmesan cheese 1 1/2 c. gravy brown Brown beef and onions together. Skim off fat, add crumbs, corn, salt, pepper, garlic powder. Place mixture in 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish, pressing down with spatula. Prepare mashed potatoes according to package with milk. Place mashed potatoes on top of beef mixture. Sprinkle with paprika, Parmesan cheese. Bake 20-25 minutes at 400 degrees. Top should be golden brown. Serve with rich brown gravy. |
