1 pkg. mince meat
1 c. water

Bring mince meat and water to a boil and let cool.

1 c. shortening
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs

Cream shortening with sugar gradually. Beat until fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time and beat well.

Sift together:

3 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine flour mixture with egg mixture. Add mince meat. Stir well.

Divide cookie mixture into 4 parts. Roll out dough and spread mixture of mince meat. Roll and slice.

Place on greased cookie sheet and bake about 10 minutes in 350°F oven.
