GIANT EMPANADAS | |
1 lb. lean ground beef 1 c. chopped onions 1 c. chopped green peppers 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes, undrained 1 tbsp. chili powder 1 tsp. ground cumin 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 2 refrigerated pie crust 1 egg yolk, mix with 1 tbsp. water Cook beef onion, and green pepper; drain. Stir in tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Simmer; stir occasionally for 15 minutes. Place unfolded pie crust at one end of greased cookie sheet. Place beef in pie leaving 1 inch border. Press edges to seal. Brush egg yolk over pie crust. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. |
