HEARTY BEAN STEW 
2 (15 1/2 oz.) cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz.) can Great Northern beans, drained and rinsed
10 oz. frozen green beans
2-3 med. potatoes, peeled, quartered lengthwise, and sliced
3 thinly sliced med. carrots
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. dried basil
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. pepper

In a Dutch oven, combine all ingredients with 2 1/2 cups water and 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste). Bring to boil; reduce and cover. Simmer about 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Serve over pasta or spaghetti.
