HOT SOUTHERN BARBECUE SAUCE 
2 c. Durkee Red Hot sauce
2 c. tomato puree
2 c. water
1 tbsp. crushed red pepper
2 c. sugar
1 celery stalk, chopped fine
1 green pepper, chopped fine
1/2 onion, chopped fine
Juice of 2 lg. lemons

Combine all ingredients in large saucepan, bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes.

I enjoy this sauce with chicken wings. I usually marinate the wings in the sauce for several hours or overnight and then baste them with it as they bake in a 400 degree oven.
