5 lbs. plums 1 1/2 c. water Bring to a boil, cook approximately 30 minutes; Mashing while cooking and stirring. Remove from heat and strain. In large pot: 1 pkg. Sure Jell Let come to a hard boil, then add 7 1/2 cups sugar. Let come to a boil that can't be stirred down. Cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Let cool for a short while, skim foam off top of mixture. Put in hot jars and seal. Makes 6 quarts |
