HALLOWEEN FRUIT CARAMELS 
1/4 lb. dates
1/4 lb. raisins
1/4 lb. figs
1/4 lb. shredded coconut (fresh or canned)
1/4 lb. nut meats, chopped
2 oz. candied citron, orange peel or grapefruit peel
1 lemon (juice only)
1 orange (juice only)
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

Chop all fruit and nuts (a food chopper is good for this purpose).

Mix thoroughly; add fruit juices and roll into balls. Roll in confectioners' sugar and store for several days to ripen the flavor before serving.
