SPICED APPLESAUCE BREAD 
1 1/4 c. applesauce
1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. oil
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 c. chopped pecans

TOPPING:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. chopped pecans

Combine applesauce, sugar, milk, oil and eggs in large bowl. Stir in dry ingredients and spice; mix well. Pour into well greased loaf pan. Top with mixture of brown sugar, cinnamon and chopped pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done. Cake will be very moist and is excellent served during the holidays. Variation: Substitute canned pumpkin for applesauce.
