TEXAS CHILI 
2 lb. ground beef
2 med. onions, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
3 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cumin
3 c. hot water
1 (15 1/2 oz.) can kidney beans, drained

Brown ground beef, onion, and garlic in a skillet; drain off excess fat. Combine flour, chili powder, salt, and cumin. Gradually stir in hot water. Combine with meat mixture. Pour into a 2 1/2 quart casserole. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hours. Remove cover. Add beans and bake an additional 15 minutes. 8 servings.
