LILY'S COOKIES 
1 cup butter
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
4 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup fruit jam

Beat together all ingredients except for jam.

Roll dough into balls and press onto a greased cookie sheet.

Make an indentation in center of cookie and fill with a small amount of jam.

Bake at 350°F until cookies are golden brown along edges. Cool on wire racks.
