BRAIDED CHEESE BREAD
7 1/2 c. unsifted flour
1/3 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
2 pkgs. yeast (dry)
2 c. water
2/3 c. milk
3 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 egg white
1 tbsp. water
Sesame seeds

Mix 2 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt and undissolved yeast. Heat water and milk until very warm (120 degrees). Add to dry ingredients. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Add cheese and 1/2 c. flour. Beat at high speed for 2 minutes. Stir in enough more flour to make stiff dough. Knead 8 to 10 minutes on floured board. Place in greased bowl; turn to grease top. Cover, let rise in warm place until doubled (about 1 hour). Punch dough down; turn out onto board. Cover and let rest for 15 minutes.

Divide into 6 equal pieces. Roll each into 16 inch rope. Braid 3 ropes together. Place in greased loaf pans. Repeat. Cover and let rise 1 hour. Mix egg white and water; brush on loaves. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until done. Cover loosely with foil halfway through baking.
