SAUSAGE STEW 
1/2-1 lb. sausage
3-4 potatoes (cut in pieces)
2 carrots, cut to 1/2" thickness
2 handfuls of macaroni twists or bows
Pinch of saffron
Salt to taste

Put sausage, potatoes, carrots and saffron in large kettle. Cover with water plus a little more water. Cook on medium high for 30 minutes. Add macaroni (dry) and cook for 15-20 minutes longer. If stew is too thick, just add a little more water.
