LINGUINI AND CLAMS | |
3 c. olive oil 5 sm. cans minced clams Garlic salt to taste 4 cloves garlic, chopped Juice of 1 lemon 2 lbs. linguini noodles Heat oil with garlic for a few minutes. Add spices (oregano can also be added if you want). Add lemon juice and clams with juice in the cans. Simmer very slowly for about 1 hour. Cook linguini according to directions on box. Do not drain noodles. Remove directly from pot. Reserve starchy water. Alternate sauce and starchy water over the noodles in serving dish. Sprinkle liberally with chopped parsley and serve immediately. |
