RHUBARB CAKE | |
1 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. shortening 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 egg 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. sour milk or buttermilk 1 1/2 c. raw rhubarb TOPPING: 1/2 c. white or brown sugar 3/4 tsp. cinnamon Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all cake ingredients in order and put in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle sugar mixture on top. Bake for 30 minutes. |
