CHILI 
1 lb. ground beef
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp. basil
1 c. celery, chopped
1-2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 (16 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
2 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans in chili sauce
1-2 tbsp. chili powder
Pinch of baking soda

Brown ground beef, drain, place in crock pot or slow cooker. Add salt, pepper, basil, celery, tomatoes, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Cover, cook on medium high for 1 hour. Add kidney beans, cover. Turn crock pot down to low setting. Continue to cook for at least another hour.
