WHITE FUDGE 
2 1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. sour cream
1/4 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. walnuts
1/3 c. candied cherries

Combine ingredients in saucepan. Stir until boiling. Boil over moderate heat for 9-10 minutes to soft ball stage. Remove from heat and allow to stand until lukewarm. Add vanilla. Beat a little until mixture loses gloss. Add nuts and cherries. Yield 1 1/2 pounds.
