WHITE SOUR CREAM FUDGE | |
2 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. sour cream 1/4 c. milk 2 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. corn syrup (light) 1/8 tsp. salt 2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped walnuts Combine first 6 ingredients in heavy 2 quart saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a boil. Boil over moderate heat, 9- 10 minutes to 238 degrees (softball). Remove from heat and let stand until lukewarm (110 degrees) about 1 hour. Add vanilla and beat until mixture loses its gloss and holds shape (requires little beating). Quickly stir in nuts and pour into oiled pan. Let stand until firm before cutting. Makes 1 1/2 pounds. |
