POTATO SOUP 
2 med. potatoes, peeled and sliced
2 med. onions, chopped
4 ribs celery, chopped
1 1/2 tbsp. butter
Boiling water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 by leaf
2 tbsp. butter
Rich milk or chicken stock
Salt and paprika
Worcestershire sauce
Chopped parsley or chives

Saute the potatoes, onions and celery in the butter. Add boiling water to cover; add salt and bay leaf and cook until potatoes are tender. Remove bay leaf and put vegetables through a ricer or blender.
