SAVORY POTATO-CHEESE SOUP 
2 c. peeled diced potatoes
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. diced celery
2 1/2 c. boiling water
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1/4 tsp. flour
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 1/2 tsp. steak sauce (Worcestershire)
2 c. milk
8 oz. sharp cheddar, rated
1 tsp. minced parsley
1 c. canned stewed tomatoes
Pinch of dill

Put onions, potatoes, celery, water, and 1 teaspoon salt in pan. Cover and bring to boil. Simmer covered for 15 minutes. In another saucepan melt butter. Blend in flour. Stir in remaining salt, pepper, mustard, steak sauce and milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened and smooth. Add remaining ingredients and potato mixture. Simmer until well heated. Serves 6.
