CHOW CHOW 
3 qts. cabbage, chopped
1 1/2 qt. green tomatoes, chopped
1 qt. sugar
1 qt. vinegar
1 c. onions, chopped
1/2 c. hot peppers, chopped
1/2 c. salt
2 or 3 bell peppers, chopped
1/2 c. salt
1 tbsp. black pepper

Mix all ingredients together. Boil 20 to 30 minutes. Place in jars and let jars, seal. Keep mixture hot while canning. Makes about 8 pints.
