CHOW-CHOW 
5 c. green pepper
4 c. green tomatoes
4 c. onion
1/2 c. red pepper
1/2 c. pickling salt
6 c. sugar
4 c. cider vinegar
2 c. water
2 tbsp. mustard seed
1 tbsp. celery seed
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric

Chop or grind all vegetables; mix with salt, let stand all night. Drain and rinse. Combine all other ingredients. Pour over vegetables. Bring to boil. Cook 5-10 minutes. Seal in hot jars.
