LAYERED GARDEN SALAD 
1/2 to 3/4 head chopped lettuce
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
6-8 chopped green onions (scallions)
2 c. mayonnaise
1 pkg. petite frozen peas, uncooked, picked apart
2 tbsp. sugar
4 oz. grated cheddar cheese
8 slices bacon, crisp and crumbled

Cover bottom of 9 x 13 dish with lettuce. Add celery, green pepper, onion, and peas, layering in order. Spread mayonnaise over last layer; sprinkle sugar and add cheese over the top. Crumble bacon over the top.

Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.
