FRENCH ONION SOUP 
4 lg. onions, sliced thin
2 tbsp. butter
4 c. canned beef broth
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
2 hard rolls, sliced and toasted (thinly sliced French bread can be used)
Parmesan cheese or Mozzarella

Cook onions in butter until lightly brown. Add broth and Worcestershire sauce. Cook 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle toasted bread with cheese. Pour soup in bowls and float toast slices on top. Place under broiler a few seconds until cheese is lightly browned. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
