SWEET & SOUR BRISKET | |
1 Sinai Kosher Frezrpakt Brisket, defrosted 2 onions, sliced 1 garlic clove, minced 1 c. brown sugar 1 lg. can sliced mushrooms 1 c. vinegar 1 c. ketchup 1 c. water 1 tbsp. salt Season brisket lightly with garlic and salt. In a mixing bowl combine ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar and water. Mix well. Line a large roasting pan with onion and mushrooms. Place brisket on top. Pour sauce over brisket. Cook, covered, in a preheated 350 degree oven for 3 to 4 hours or until tender. Uncover and cook, an additional hour, basting often until crust is brown. Serves 6 to 8. |
