ADIRONDOCK PICKLES | |
5 lbs. cucumbers, sliced 4 onions, sliced 4 sweet red peppers, cut up 1 bunch celery, cut up Soak overnight in 1/2 cup salt and water to cover. Drain salt water from mixture. SAUCE: 4 c. sugar 1/2 c. flour 1 tbsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. turmeric Mix together and add 1 quart vinegar. Put on stove and let thicken. Add cucumber mix to sauce and let come to a boil. Should not cook too long. |
