SPUDNUTS 
1 pkg. yeast in 1/2 c. water for 10 minutes
2 c. scalded milk, cooled
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
3 well beaten eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. mashed potatoes
1 tsp. mace or nutmeg

Add risen yeast to cooled milk, sugar, eggs, butter, salt, potatoes and nutmeg. Stir well and add enough flour to make a soft dough. Let rise until double in size. Knead and let rise again. Roll out and cook in deep fat. Be sure to spread apart on table after being cooked (I use oil), any kind.
