HASH BROWN CASSEROLE 
1 (2 lb.) pkg. frozen hash browns, thawed
1 stick butter, melted
1 c. onion
8 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 tsp. salt
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 pt. sour cream
Garlic to taste

Mix all ingredients. Put hash browns in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.

TOPPING:

2 c. Special K flakes
1/2 stick butter, melted

Mix together and put together on top of hash brown mixture. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
