GOLDEN NUT COOKIES 
1/2 c. Peter Pan Smooth or crunchy peanut butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
3 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. shredded coconut

Blend peanut butter and shortening. Add sugars gradually and beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs and blend well. Mix in flour sifted with soda. Stir in coconut and peanuts. Drop from spoon onto lightly greased cookie sheet and flatten down with fork. Bake in 375 degree oven 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 6 dozen cookies.
