HASTY PUDDING 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. self-rising flour
3/4 c. milk
1 (#2) can fruit with juice or syrup

Oven 350 degrees. Melt butter in oven using a 9x13x3 pan or similar size pan. In a bowl mix sugar, flour and milk to make a batter. Pour batter over the melted butter. Spoon fruit and juice over the batter using all of it. Bake 350 degrees for about 50 minutes or until golden brown on top. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream on top.

If using fresh fruit - 2-3 cups fruit plus 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup sugar.
