DONUTS 
1 pt. lukewarm water
4 pkg. cakes of yeast
4 eggs
2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. warm milk
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
7 1/2-8 c. flour

Mix as you would for yeast rolls. Let stand 2 hours, roll and cut with donut cutter. Let stand 1 hour or longer before frying. Fry in deep fryer with enough oil to completely cover donuts.

GLAZE:

2 boxes powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. cold water

Roll donuts in icing while they are hot. Lay out on cooling rack so excess will drip off and be reused.
