HAMBURGER HASH 
1 lb. ground beef
Oil
4 c. frozen hash brown potatoes (I use fresh potatoes, grated)
2 med. onions, chopped
1 med. size green pepper, chopped (optional)
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

In large skillet, brown beef with slotted spoon. Remove beef. Set aside; add enough oil to drippings in pan to make 2 to 3 tablespoons. Add potatoes, onions, green pepper. Cook until onions and potatoes are almost tender. Stir in meat, salt and pepper. Heat until vegetables are tender. (I add 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce.)
