HEAVENLY HASH HAMBURGER HOT DISH 
8 oz. pkg. frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
1 lb. hamburger
1 med. onion, chopped
Salt & pepper
6 slices American cheese
10 oz. pkg. frozen peas, thawed
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. milk
3 oz. can French fried onions

Butter 9 x 13 inch glass pan on the bottom and sides. Put hash browns in bottom of pan. Brown meat and onions in frying pan, pour over hash browns. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and peas. Mix soup and milk in a bowl and pour over the top of all. Place cheese slices over the top and cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove foil and sprinkle with French fried onions. Return to oven with heat off for 15 minutes more. Serves 8 to 10.
