FRENCH ONION SOUP | |
2 tbsp. butter 3 med. onions, thinly sliced 3 (10 1/2 oz.) cans condensed beef broth, diluted with 2 1/4 c. water or 2 tbsp. instant beef bouillon dissolved in 6 c. water Salt to taste Croutons Grated Parmesan cheese Combine butter and onion in 3-quart bowl or casserole. Cover and microwave 8 minutes on high, or until onions are transparent, stirring once. Stir in broth. Cover and microwave 8-10 minutes on high, or until onions are tender and soup is hot. Salt to taste. Top each serving with croutons and Parmesan cheese. Serves 6-8. |
