QUIVAN'S RICE AND BEANS 
1 sm. can pinto beans (do not drain)
1 cooking spoonful of oil
1 sm. onion
1 sm. red pepper
1 sm. green pepper
1 c. rice

Let oil get hot on low flame. Chop onion and peppers and place in pot. Continue on low fire. When tender, pour in pinto beans. Let boil on high flame and put in the rice. Lower flame and cover. Stir. When liquid has evaporated. Continue stirring occasionally until rice is done.
