THIN BREAD
2 pkgs. yeast
2 tsp. sugar
1 c. warm water
1/2 c. shortening, melted
1/3 c. sugar
1 c. scalded milk
1 tsp. salt
2 beaten eggs
6 to 6 1/2 c. flour

Mix sugar with yeast and warm water. Add the rest of the ingredients. Mix and let stand 20 minutes. Divide dough into 8 parts. Roll out with rolling pin, quite thin; prick with fork or use special hard tack rolling pin. Bake on cookie sheets at 400 degrees until edges start to brown. (I bake them 7 minutes then flip them over and bake them an additional 3 to 4 minutes). Cut immediately into serving size pieces. Good with butter, cheese or sausage.
