RICE STUFFED VEGETABLES WITH
CHEESE SAUCE
 
4 med. bell peppers

STUFFING:

6 slices bacon or 1/2 lb. hamburger meat
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/2 c. chopped onions
2 c. cooked rice
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. bacon drippings
1/4 tsp. pepper

Cook bacon and use drippings to cook onion in. Mix all stuffing ingredients together. Wash peppers. Cut off tops and remove seed. Cook in small amount of boiling, salted water for 5 minutes. Fill peppers with rice stuffing and bake for 15 minutes. Serve with cheese sauce.
