CRUNCHY PECANS 
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
2-3 c. pecan halves
1 stick butter

Beat egg whites until stiff. Add vanilla, sugar; fold in pecan halves. Melt butter; put on cookie sheet. Spread mixture on top.

Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Turn mixture over and reduce oven to 350 degrees. Stir every 5 minutes until all butter is absorbed (approximately 15 minutes. Watch carefully; it burns easily. Do not double recipe.
