GERMAN - STYLE POTATO SALAD 
4 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled, reserve drippings
Salad oil
1/2 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. cider vinegar
1 c. water
4 lb. salad potatoes, cooked & sliced
4 green onions, chopped

Add enough oil to bacon drippings to make 1/2 cup. Add sugar, flour, salt and pepper to drippings; stir until smooth. Gradually stir in vinegar and water; cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour over potatoes and onions; set aside at room temperature for 3 hours. Sprinkle with bacon and serve. Makes 10-12 servings.
