CHOCOLATE COATED CHERRYETTES 
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. confectioners' sugar
1 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
1/2 c. chopped, drained maraschino cherries
1/4 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Frosting mix or ready to spread fudge frosting

In large mixer bowl combine all ingredients except cherries, walnuts and frosting mix. Blend at slow speed. Stir in cherries and nuts, mixing thoroughly. Shape into balls using a rounded teaspoon for each. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes. Cool. Top each cookie with chocolate frosting.

Use ready to spread frosting or if preparing frosting mix, increase water to 3 tablespoons.
