CURRENT BREAD 
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
3 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
Grated rind and juice of 1 lemon
1 pkg. current

Cream butter and sugar well, add eggs one at a time and beat well. Combine flour and baking powder. Add to butter mixture alternately with milk. Add lemon juice and rind and vanilla. Fold in current. Bake at 250 degrees for 2 hours. Makes 2 loaves.
