DANISH GOULASH | |
2 lbs. round steak 1/4 c. butter 1/8 tsp. pepper 2 1/2 tsp. salt 4 med. onions 2 c. boiling water 1 tbsp. brown sugar 6 sm. bay leaves 8 med. potatoes 4 tbsp. flour 6 tbsp. cold water Cube steak. Melt butter in skillet. Add pepper and 2 teaspoons salt. Add meat and brown all sides. Slice onion very thin and add. Cook 5 minutes, then add boiling water, sugar and 1/2 teaspoon salt and bay leaves. Cook 1 hour. Add flour for gravy. Cook and mash potatoes. Remove bay leaves before serving over potatoes. |
