WHOOPIE PIES 
Cookie:

2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
1 c. sour milk
4 c. flour
1 c. boiling water
2 eggs
1 c. cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. salt

Mix cocoa and boiling water together, mix well. Let cool. Cream Crisco and sugar, add eggs. Add sour milk, flour, baking soda, vanilla and salt. Add cocoa and water mixture. Mix well. Drop by tablespoons full on greased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork.

Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes. Cool on wax paper.

Filling:

4 c. powdered sugar
2 egg whites
4 tsp. milk
4 tsp. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. Crisco

Mix Crisco, egg whites and vanilla until creamy. Sprinkle flour over and mix well. Add powdered sugar and milk. Mix well. Filling will be creamy but not stiff. Put filling on one cookie and top with another cookie to make the Whoopie pie.
