SPICE CUT-OUT AIR FRESHENERS | |
4 oz. cinnamon 1 tbsp. ground cloves 1 tbsp. ground nutmeg 3/4 c. applesauce 2 tbsp. white glue Combine spices, add applesauce and glue. Stir then mix by hand until smooth. Divide mixture (about 4 portions) and roll 1/4" thickness on cinnamon dusted board. Cut out with holiday cookie cutters and let dry on wire rack for several days. Remember to poke hole for a hanger using a straw. If rolled out too thin they tend to curl on ends. Turn over while drying after about 1 1/2 days. When completely dry they can be hung with ribbons about the house or on Christmas tree. Also make special treats on top of gifts. I have also made this recipe using equal amounts of applesauce and cinnamon. It works just as well. |
