CHOCOLATE "SALAD DRESSING" CAKE 
1 c. white sugar
1 c. salad dressing
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. cocoa

Measure and mix sugar, dressing, salt, and vanilla. Sift flour, baking soda, and cocoa together; add to cream mixture alternately with 1 cup water. Pour into greased and floured pan oblong 9 x 13. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

ICING:

Heaping tbsp. Crisco
1/4 c. brown sugar
5 tbsp. canned milk or heavy cream

Bring to boil, remove from heat. Cool add powdered sugar enough to right spreading consistency about 1 1/2 to 2 cups.
