1 c. butter or Crisco
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 (16 oz.) cans applesauce
4 c. flour
3 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ground allspice
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. raisins
1 c. chopped nuts

Cream Crisco and sugar and mix in order given. Sift dry ingredients together. Add a little flour to raisins and nuts. Bake in tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
