TEXAS HASH 
3 tbsp. fat
1 lg. green pepper, minced
3 lg. onions, sliced
1 lb. ground beef
2 c. cooked tomatoes
1 c. washed, uncooked rice (or 2 c. uncooked noodles)
1 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Cook onions and green pepper in fat until onions are yellow. Now add the ground beef. Cook until mixture falls apart. Stir in 2 cups tomatoes, 1 cup rice and dry ingredients. Pour into a greased 2 quart casserole. Cover and bake, removing the cover the last 15 minutes of cooking time. Serve hot. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serves 6.
