SHEPHERD'S PIE 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 egg
1/3 or 1/4 c. chopped onions
2 tbsp. catsup
Salt
Pepper
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 (17 oz.) can carrots
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 c. very stiff mashed potatoes
1 1/2 c. shredded mild cheddar cheese
1 (9") pie dish

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine the first 7 ingredients then form into a pie crust slightly hanging over edge of dish. Brown in oven for 10 minutes; drain fat off. Place carrots on top of crust. Combine mashed potatoes and soup then place on top of carrots. Cook for approximately 45 more minutes. Drain fat off carefully. Spread cheese on top and heat only to melt cheese. Let stand 10 minutes then serve.
