TACO SALAD | |
1/2 lb. ground beef 1 can (15 1/2 oz.) mashed refried beans 1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce 1 pkg. (1 1/4 oz.) taco seasoning mix 1/4 c. finely chopped onion 1/4 c. finely chopped green pepper 2 to 3 drops red pepper sauce 1 sm. clove garlic, finely chopped Corn chips Sour cream topping Finely shredded lettuce Shredded Cheddar cheese Crumble ground beef in 1 1/2 quart casserole. Cover loosely and microwave on high until no pink, about 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes. Drain. Stir in beans, tomato sauce, seasoning mix, onion, green pepper, pepper sauce and garlic. Microwave on high for 3 minutes, stir. Spread mixture in 9 inch pie plate. Cover and microwave until hot about 3 to 4 minutes longer. Mound sour cream topping in center of beef mixture. Sprinkle with shredded lettuce and cheese. Serve with corn chips. SOUR CREAM TOPPING: Mix 1/2 cup dairy sour cream, 1 tablespoon grated American cheese food and 1/8 teaspoon chili powder. |
